The Rev. Guy L. Myers began serving as pastor of the Arbutus Church of the Brethren in November of 2019. Rev. Myers was licensed into the Christian ministry in 1983. He received pastoral training through Logos Bible Training Center and through Trinity College of the Bible. He was ordained into the pastoral ministry in 1990 by the Western Pa. District of the Church of the Brethren. Prior to coming to Arbutus, he served as pastor of the Conemaugh Church of the Brethren from November 1989 through September 2009, and also the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren from November 2009 through March 2019. He has also served as the District Moderator, Chairman of the District’s Pastor & Parish Ministry Team and the District Church Life and Growth Team.

Pastor Myers’s wife, Wendy, has also been very active in the life and ministry of the church. She has served as a Bible study leader and Vacation Bible School teacher. She has also served with the Sisters In Christ Women’s Ministry and in the Multi-Media ministry. Wendy’s passion is reaching out to those who do not know Christ as Savior.

Pastor Guy & Wendy both enjoy being outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, gardening and simply enjoying God’s creation. We are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for the Ministry of the Arbutus congregation.
